With the app, merchants can accept and process
credit card transactions in real-time by swiping and authorising
the transaction on their Blackberry devices. The apps is compatible
with major credit card networks on both, Blackberry and iPhone.

The release of the new app comes just a month
after the launch of the iPhone virtual POS app by the company.

Michael Gokturk, CEO and founder of Payfirma,
said that merchants can accept payment for goods and services on
their Blackberries anywhere with a cellular or WIFI signal, which
argued would increase their sales efficiencies and improving the
overall checkout experience.

Gokturk added: “The next release of our mobile
apps will enable users to link their settled funds from the phone
directly to an near-field communication (NFC) chip within the phone
itself, enabling the smartphone to be used as an e-wallet and using
it to pay for goods and services wherever NFC devices are
enabled.”
