German electronic payments company PAPAGENA Projects has collaborated with payment service provider Computop and payments security technology firm MagTek to introduce a new payment solution called PayCruise.

As per the arrangement, PAPAGENA Projects will integrate with MagTek’s Point-of-Sale (PoS) terminals and Computop’s Paygate payment processing platform to develop payments service aimed at the cruise industry.

PAPAGENA Projects managing director Björn Schlesselmann said the global cruise industry is constantly expanding and innovating to hold its own in a highly competitive travel market.

"For that reason, it’s imperative that we’re able to offer companies in this space an integrated payment solution that they can completely trust, guaranteeing the necessary security for their payment processes and increasing their effectiveness. Leveraging the joint solution from Computop and MagTek underpins this for us and is an integral part of our offering," added Schlesselmann.

Earlier in 2012, Computop and MagTek had collaborated to offer an integrated solution combining MagTek’s PoS products with Computop’s Paygate functionality.

PAPAGENA, through an integration of joint offering by Computop and MagTek, aims to provide a secure, and global PoS payment solution to its cruise ship clients.
