One4all has rolled out a virtual multi-store gift card in Ireland that allows users to purchase, send and spend the gift card using a smartphone.
Known as One4all Digital Gift Card, the gift voucher can be used in more than 8,500 stores across Ireland.
One4all, which is owned by US-based financial technology firm Blackhawk Network, said that the gift card has been developed at its Dublin head office. The digital gift card will support contactless transactions up to €150.
One4all has joined hands with tech giant Apple so that the digital gift card can also be spent through Apple Pay. Android users can use the One4All mobile app to spend their gift cards.
The card will work on two-factor authentication that will allow cardholders to use their biometric signs along with a PIN to carry out their transactions.
One4all CEO Michael Dawson said that the new digital gift card is safer, more flexible and simpler to use compared to traditional cards.
