According to the firm, the new service complies with strict EMV security and enables banks to have full control of the card issuance operations, addressing the need for personalised card supply for multiple branches of the banks through the centralised card issuance system.
"There is an international trend by small, medium and large financial and banking institutions to move away from bureau services and work towards outsourcing in-premise managed services for centralized card issuance. Our team is geared to meet the changing industry requirements and equipped to tackle total smart card production," said Niranj Sangal, executive officer of OMA Emirates.
The firm states that the hardware provided is capable of processing approximately 700 to 1000 cards per hour, while providing a personalisation solution which supports batch printing and encoding as part of the bank’s card production process.
Simultaneously the new system enables card embossing, indenting, encoding labels, card mailing and smart chips for both contact and contactless cards.
