Wisconsin-based North Shore Bank has launched MasterPass digital wallet service, with an aim to simply online shopping for its customers.

Administered by MasterCard, the free digital wallet allows customers to securely store their debit cards, credit cards, prepaid cards and shipping information.

The wallet can also hold information from various cards including MasterCard, American Express, Visa, Discover and Diner’s Club cards. Additionally, it provides customers with an option to add an extra layer of security through a mobile or SMS verification.

North Shore Bank branch operations vice president, Susan Doyle, was quoted by BizTimes.com as saying that they are always looking for new ways to help make banking, managing finances, and even shopping more convenient.

"With this digital wallet service, we can provide a new way for our customers to effectively and efficiently conduct online shopping," Doyle.
