MTN Rwanda, Bank of Kigali partner to expand access to mobile financial services

MTN Rwanda has teamed up with Bank of Kigali (BK) to increase access to mobile financial services (MFS) and financial inclusion solutions.

The partnership allows customers to transfer money between their MTN Mobile Money wallets and their Bank of Kigali accounts and vice versa.

The deal will enable MTN Subscribers who are also customers of Bank of Kigali to link mobile money wallets to their bank accounts.

Additionally, the collaboration will allow the bank’s customers to use the MTN service centres and MTN Mobile Money agents to load their wallets and then move the funds from their wallets to their bank accounts.

Also, customer can indirectly load their wallets by depositing in their bank accounts at any of the bank branches, mobile vans and over 900 agents country wide.

The alliance will allow customers to access various financial services under the mobile money platform. The move aims to support Rwandan Government’s efforts to stregthen financial inclusion in the country and promotes a cashless economy.
