MOLPay, a Malaysia-based online payment solutions provider, has collaborated with a convenience store chain 7-Eleven Malaysia to launch a new payment option for ecommerce merchants.
Called MOLPay CASH, the new service will enable ecommerce merchants to accept cash from consumers at the 7-Eleven outlet and get notified when payments are made through MOLPay.
According to MOLPay, the new payment method will use barcodes for consumers to pay cash at 7-Eleven outlets and will be integrated with the convenience stores’ point of sales (POS) system.
The service will be made available at selected 7-Eleven stores where 735 stores already offering this convenient payment option from July 2014.
MOLPay cofounder and CEO, Eng Sheng Guan, said: "MOLPay Cash offers a fraud-free and convenient way to pay cash for online transactions while enabling merchants to reach a wider customer base."
