Payment solution company Ingenico will provide NFC contactless terminals to McDonald’s in Ukraine.

Ingenico will supply a PINPad iPP350, which requires no PIN code or signature if the sum is within the set limit. According to the company, this model can reduce transactions by up to 30 seconds.

Ingenico will deliver the solution with two local companies: a savings bank, JSC Oschadbanks and a software development company, JSI Bancomzyjazok.

Ingenico’s spokesperson Remi Calvet said NFC payments are beneficial for customers as it avoids the pain of handling cash: “Emerging countries are looking at these technologies and making it happen”.
