MBNA, a UK-based credit card issuer, has rolled out a new time limited platinum credit card, offering eligible new customers interest-free balance transfers for up to 25 months from account opening date.

The offer applies to transfers made within the first 60 days of opening the account (a 1.45% handling fee applies to balance transfers, £3 min), the company said.

The new MBNA Platinum Credit Card also offers zero percent on purchases made within three months from the date the account is opened.

The offer is available for applications received by 27 October 2014.

Michael Donald, commercial and customer experience executive for MBNA, said: "We’ve made a commitment to make life easier for consumers to manage their finances, and new products like this are an important part of bringing that to life for consumers."

The credit card also features an eligibility check, enabling consumers to find out their eligibility before applying for the card. It is also equipped with contactless technology.
