MBNA, a UK-based credit card issuer, has introduced a new Smartphone Card Services app to enhance the services offered to its customers.
Compatible with iPhone and Android-based devices, the new app allows customers to view a summary of the account such as balance and payment information, make debit card payment, view PIN and also view recent transactions.

MBNA business development and marketing executive Michael Donald said the new app will help customers stay up-to-date and in control of their credit card account wherever they are and whatever the time.
"The launch of this new app is a great example of how our focus on innovation and enhancing the customer experience is making life easier for those people we are proud to serve," Donald added.
"We know our customers have a strong appetite to do more to service their accounts on the go, so we are already planning the development of a range of new functions to enhance the app over time."
The new app can be downloaded from the Apple App and Google Play store.
