MBNA, a wholly-owned subsidiary of Bank of America, has launched new platinum credit card, offering eligible new customers zero percent per annum for up to 32 months from the account opening date.

The company said that the offer applies to transfers made within the first 60 days of account opening (a 2.69% handling fee applies to balance transfers and a 4% fee applies to money transfers, £3 min).

The card also offers zero percent per annum on purchases for three months from the date the account is opened.

Michael Donald, commercial and customer experience executive of MBNA, said: "This new credit card enables eligible new customers to take advantage of the longest balance transfer and money transfers we’ve ever offered in the UK. We’re committed to offering products that make it easier for consumers to manage their finances."

The new MBNA Platinum Credit Card also features the eligibility check, which enables consumers to find out if they are eligible before applying for the card. The new credit card is also equipped with contactless technology.
