Mastercard has revealed plans to upgrade commercial cardholders’ back office experience by offering more data on Amazon Business transactions.

The new offering is intended give mid and large-size businesses clearer understanding of money spent by them.

The enhanced data will allow Mastercard’s commercial cardholders to see the details, quantities, unit price and also tax for individual items they purchase on Amazon Business.

They will also be able to view the shipping amounts associated with the financial charge.

Furthermore, commercial cardholders will be able apprise data either in their expense management system or in the Smart Data platform.

The insights will help clients in keeping a track of the expenses. Furthermore it will streamline the filing and auditing of expense reports.

Currently, the product is available for Mastercard commercial cards issued by Bank of America Merrill Lynch, Barclays Bank, JPMorgan, Lloyds Bank, NatWest, and Royal Bank of Scotland in Germany, the UK, and the US.

Mastercard senior vice president of commercial products Jeff Feuerstein said: “More detailed transaction data helps make doing business easier. Our collaboration with Amazon Business streamlines financial reporting and cuts down on time spent reconciling transactions against statements. It gives our customers a clearer understanding of money spent.”
