Tencent’s cross-border payment platform TenPay Global and Mastercard Move, the money movement division of Mastercard, have entered into a partnership aimed at enabling transparent and quick digital remittances to Weixin Pay, the mobile payment platform within China’s Weixin ecosystem.
Users worldwide who are eligible will be able to transfer funds such as salaries and family support to Weixin Pay Wallet Balances or to bank cards connected with Weixin Pay directly, via Mastercard Move network.

The partnership links Mastercard Move’s international money transfer network with Weixin’s significant user base.
This integration is intended to create a “seamless pathway” for cross-border transactions into mainland China.

By GlobalDataMastercard Move currently connects to around ten billion endpoints globally, including bank accounts, wallets, cards, and cash payout locations.
With this partnership, the service will now be accessible to more than 1.4 billion users of Weixin and WeChat.
Mastercard Move offers rapid money transfer options for banks, non-bank financial institutions, and their clients, both within countries and across borders.
