MasterCard has introduced a new fraud prevention tool to help SMEs control, prevent and monitor e-commerce transactions in real time.

Known as Simplify Controls, the new solution will enable users to customize their fraud settings such as transaction size, country of origin and repeat transactions with a mobile app and desktop dashboard.

Simplify Controls also provides smart alerts that will keep merchants aware of potentially fraudulent activity.

The platform is a complement to firm’s Simplify Commerce, which helps merchants in maximizing online sales by separating legitimate orders from fraudulent transactions. It is available through plug-and-play software development kits (SDKs) and application program interfaces (APIs).

MasterCard Simplify Commerce global lead Deborah Barta said: "Simplify Controls can help business owners grow sales and breathe a little easier knowing that bad transactions will be declined and good transactions will get through."
