MasterCard has rolled out its global online payment platform MasterPass in Poland to offer consumers a seamless, secure and speedy checkout anywhere and anytime.
MasterPass does not require users to enter detailed shipping and card information at MasterPass merchant sites.
uPaid will become the first partner to use the MasterPass platform to enable its digital uPaid wallet, according to the global payment processor.
In order to offer speedy and improved services, MasterPass has decided to replace and enhance its MasterCard Mobile platform, which has been in use in Poland for three years.
After replacement, uPaid will automatically switch its current users of MasterCard Mobile over to the uPaid wallet, while users will continue to access mobile applications that enable them to purchase city transport tickets in approx. 90 towns and cities across Poland.
uPaid CEO Marcin Kopy? said, "In the recent years we have successfully supported the MasterCard Mobile project as part of which more than 30,000 users relied on mobile payments in that technology."
