MasterCard, in association with Dynamics, a payment cards and systems solution provider, has launched security-enhanced interactive payment cards for its global customers at the Consumer Electronics Show in Las Vegas.
The new technology will feature three interactive security functionalities allowing cardholders to unlock the card with a secret code to generate unique in-store CVC1 security code for each purchase and to secure every online transaction with a random single use CVC2 display code.

The cards, which are compatible with existing point-of-sale terminals and EMV and contactless card technology, will have a thin computer circuit board embedded in the plastic with the face of the card, featuring buttons, displays and LEDs open to customization.
Dynamics CEO Jeff Mullen said: "Dynamics technology enables MasterCard issuers to provide their cardholders with first-of-its-kind safeguards to ensure that only authorized cardholders have the ability to use a payment card, whether that transaction is in-store or online."
