MasterCard has launched MasterPass in Spain to enhance the shopping experience for both online and in physical stores.

The company said that its digital wallet solution will allow consumers to make online payments in a secure manner by removing the need for consumers to enter detailed shipping and card information to complete their online purchases.

According to MasterCard, merchants accepting MasterPass will be benefitted with a minimum integration impact of accepting a modern way of payment to increase sales and improve online purchase ratios.

By launching the service in Spain, Spanish consumers will be able to use this service to make purchases from any electronic device in thousands of online stores all across the world.

MasterPass will enable the banks and financial institutions to offer their own branded digital wallets that extend and enhance their own consumer relationships.

In Spain, eDreams, Logitravel and Atrápalo are some of the first online merchants that are working to introduce MasterPass to their shoppers.
