MasterCard has launched its global online payment platform MasterPass in Poland in cooperation with local payments provider uPaid.

The new platform will replace the credit card giant’s existing MasterCard Mobile platform which has been available in Poland for three years.

MasterPass provides consumers a seamless, secure and speedy checkout at online merchant sites around the globe.

It eliminates the need for consumers to enter detailed shipping and card information to complete their online shopping at MasterPass merchant sites.

As an open platform, MasterPass allows consumers to use not only MasterCard, but other branded credit, debit and prepaid cards, according to MasterCard.

Under the agreement, uPaid will migrate users to MasterPass which will be branded by the local firm as uPaid Wallet.
