With Marriott’s move to the Bonvoy brand, American Express and Chase have announced changes to their co-branded cards with Marriott.

From 13th of next month, the Starwood Preferred Guest American Express Cards will adopt the Marriott Bonvoy brand.

The Starwood Preferred Guest American Express Luxury Card will be renamed as the Marriott Bonvoy Brilliant American Express Card, while the Starwood Preferred Guest Credit Card from American Express will be rebranded as the Marriott Bonvoy American Express Card.

The Starwood Preferred Guest Business Credit Card from American Express will be renamed as the Marriott Bonvoy Business American Express Card.

The new card will offer additional features including up to $100 in property credit per stay at The Ritz-Carlton or St. Regis properties.

Besides, it will enable cardholders to earn up to 100,000 points after spending $5,000 on their card in the first three months of membership. This will be a limited time offer.

The revamped card will also offer an additional free night award worth up to 35,000 points on spending at least $60,000 on the card per year.

However, the card’s annual fee has been increased from $95 to $125.

For Chase, the Marriott Rewards Premier Plus Credit Card will now operate under the name Marriott Bonvoy Boundless Credit Card.

Perks include a limited-time offer of 100,000-point welcome bonus.

The 100,000-point bonus will be offered to cardholders spending $5,000 in the first three months.

Chase will not accept applications for its Marriott Rewards Premier Plus Business Credit Card. However, existing cardholders will continue to gain access to its benefits.
