Premium credit card provider Luxury Card has received a new patent for card construction technology and design.
The US-based card company said that this is its 51st patent overall.
Luxury Card vice president of customer experience Marina Kissam said: “We are continually expanding on our existing designs to bring constant innovation to the metal credit card industry and are excited to achieve this [51st patent] milestone.”
The latest patent was granted by the United States Patent and Trademark Office (USPTO).
Of the 51 patents issued globally, 30 are design patents and the remaining 21 are utility patents.
“The growing patent portfolio indicates Luxury Card’s willingness to push the envelope and challenge the concept of what a credit card can be,” Luxury Card said in its press statement.
