Retail management systems provider LOC Software has leveraged retail software provider Index’s semi-integrated payment solution to offer quick checkout and improved payment security for retailers.
The payment solution, which is available for retailers on LOC SMS point-of-sale (POS) platform, includes 1-Second EMV, 2048-bit RSA encryption, remote device management, deployment tools, digital receipts and value-added services.

It directly routes payment card data from PIN pad to processor, while an IP-connected PIN pad collects tender, requests authorisation and sends approval to LOC SMS.
Furthermore, the solution facilitates software and security updates such as point-to-point encryption (P2PE) and contactless EMV to the PIN pad.
