BeautifulLab has developed the first wearable payment app that allows customers to pay with their Pebble smartwatch. The app, which is powered by LevelUp’s payment platform, is featured in the Pebble appstore.
Pebble is an innovative smartwatch, which is customizable with useful, internet-connected apps. The Pebble appstore, which was launched on 3 February, is the first open platform for sharing apps optimized for wearables, while LevelUp is a leading open mobile payments network.

Featured in the Pebble appstore, LevelUp’s Developer Platform will allow third party developers to integrate LevelUp directly into their own applications or web services. LevelUp currently has more than 1.5 million account holders and over 8,000 businesses in the US.
With the addition of LevelUp, Pebble has become the first smartwatch to enable transactions at local businesses.
