JCB International is set to open a new office in Silicon Valley on 1 November 2015 under its US subsidiary, JCB International Credit Card (JCB USA).
JCB believes that the move is expected to help the company to keep pace with the trends and develop strategic direction in collaboration with the world’s largest high-tech corporations.
JCB business design and development executive vice president Jun-ichi Minowa said: "JCB does ongoing surveys of leading edge technologies to build infrastructure that enables people to use convenient and secure payment services.
"In addition to research and development in the newest infrastructure technologies, we are also aiming to look at infrastructure even further ahead.
"Our new Silicon Valley office will enable us to incorporate the latest technology and develop new services in cooperation with enterprises in America and strengthen our existing business."
