American software company Intuit is reportedly planning to offer bitcoin as payments option for 624,000 small businesses, who use its cloud-based QuickBooks Online financial management software.
The company will provide bitcoin payments service through PayByCoin service, which has been created by combining QuickBooks Online with bitcoin wallet outfit Coinbase, as reported by Finextra.
In order to utilize this new payment facility, small business operators will have to register with Coinbase and connect their wallets to their existing QuickBooks Online account.
With this service, customers can be directed to the small business operator’s Coinbase wallet. It will also help them to record the transactions in QuickBooks Online.
The firm has no plans to receive or hold any funds pertaining to the PayByCoin transactions, either in dollar or bitcoins.
