Inside Secure, a security software provider for mobile and connected devices, has launched its EMV-ready MicroPass software for US contact and dual interface cards.

The MicroPass platform was developed for the US payment market to take advantage of the payment migration from magstripe to EMV chip.

According to American Express, Discover, MasterCard and Visa, EMV will be fully deployed in the US market by 2015.

The payment platform includes an operating system delivering "the highest security level in the industry", according to Inside Secure.

MicroPass is said to meet the EMV chip personalisation standard, making it compatible with all Personalisation Service Bureaus using this standard.

The software will be available in six options; three contact only options and three dual interface payment options including contact and contactless.

Bernard Vian, EVP at Inside Secure, said: "MicroPass solution has shown optimal performance in the pre-personalization and personalization processes, enhancing the alignment and co-existence of multi-application cards.

"MicroPass combines efficiency and flexibility, to give card issuers one of the best choices for stock management and operations performance.

"It is highly competitive and delivers a strong and secure performance," he concluded.

EMV is an initiative conceived by Europay, MasterCard and Visa, aiming to ensure the security and global interoperability of chip-based payment cards.
