Global payment solutions provider Ingenico is merging its European business (Europe-SEPA) and Transactions operations to create a major payment service provider in Europe.

According to Ingenico, the combined business will be managed by Pierre-Antoine Vacheron, executive vice president of SEPA.

Previously, Ingenico had integrated with Ogone to expand its Transaction business unit, building on the common DNA shared by the various transactions activities within the region.

Ingenico said that it has accelerated the implementation of its Transaction Services strategy, focusing on the combination of off-line (Axis, easycash) and on-line processing.
