Ingenico is going to extend its payment
solutions distribution network to UK cab fleets through a
partnership with SilverPay, a company that specialises in
payment card solutions to cabs and other private transport
operators.
Ingenico is going to supply its EFT930G
payments solution, which supports GPRS technology, and its iCT220
product, which is what Ingenico calls a “new generation countertop
chip and PIN device” that enables transactions to be made fast.

Ingenico said that a cab fleet in Gateshead
has already signed a contract to adopt the payment solutions.
“The cab and private hire sector holds great
potential for the payment solutions industry,” said Craig Doyle,
managing director, Northern Europe, Ingenico.
