Ingenico Payment Services is working along with Eurozone direct debit firm SlimPay to introduce an online subscription payment solution for merchants.

The new platform is aimed at making payments for subscription and recurring purchases. Further, the new service avoids the management of expiration dates and fund limits, with payments directly transferred from subscribers’ accounts to merchants’ accounts.

Ingenico Payment Services e-Commerce Solutions Southern Europe sales manager Simon-Pierre de la Seiglière said the partnership is totally consistent with Ingenico Payment Services’ mission to offer new, complementary payment methods that satisfy the needs of merchants.

Through this, Ingenico intends to expand its online payment services portfolio across different channels – in-store, online and mobile. The new service will be available to 10,000 existing French merchant customers.

SlimPay CEO and cofounder Jérôme Traisnel said, "Our direct debit subscription payment solution makes it really easy for merchants and customers to set up subscriptions and recurring services."
