France-headquartered payment solutions provider Ingenico and PayEx have signed a deal to provide a fully integrated mobile payment solution in the Nordics.
The iSMP-based solution will be developed in partnership with PayEx’s POS supplier, OpenSolution Nordic.

It turns an iPod or iPhone into a Chip & PIN PCI approved mobile payment solution, and allow merchants to receive secure payments.
The new platform is primarily designed for the Nordic retail and transportation sectors.
Ingenico Northern Europe and Iberia managing director Jose Luis Arias said, "More customers are looking for payment solutions that are not only secure, but also provide them with innovative solutions to help improve the efficiency of their sales.
"We expect to see a significant uptake of mobile payment solutions like this across the Nordic market."
