Infor, a US-based developer of business application software, has partnered with Merchant Link to provide additional security for hoteliers while performing credit card swipes on its Hospitality Management System (HMS) Mobile Check In app.

Infor will offer security through tokenisation and point-to-point encryption (P2PE), where sensitive credit card information can’t be seen or stored.

Meanwhile, Merchant Link provides tools with added security to manage transactions securely.

The integration keeps Infor HMS customers’ data safe from potential security threats and data breaches.

Merchant Link sales and marketing executive vice president Laura Kirby-Meck said almost every hotel relies on stored credit card information, and when managing transactions in today’s complex and changing payment landscape, it is important to approach this process by layering encryption technology to protect cardholder information.

"We wanted to partner with Infor because one of their premier business objectives is to make the guest experience more satisfying for their customers, and adding a security component to their already successful property management system is key in removing the risk of potential stolen information," Kirby-Meck added.
