Karnataka Vikas Grameen Bank (KVGB), an India-based regional rural bank (RRB) that is sponsored by Syndicate Bank, has launched Rupay debit cards for its rural customers, who will now be able to easily access technology oriented facilities.
KVGB chairman, Ashok Reddy, said through this card the bank is trying to usher in a revolution by offering technology-enabled services to customers in remote villages.
“The bank has an important role to play in enabling the rural folk, particularly the farming section, to use the RuPay debit card,” Reddy added.
KVGB has already introduced National Electronic Funds Transfer (NEFT), RTGS and SMS alerts for its customers.
The new ATM cards can be accessed for free at KVGB’s and Syndicate Bank’s ATM centres.
