ICICI Bank, in partnership with Ahmedabad Municipal Corporation (AMC), has rolled out its latest prepaid card in Ahmedabad, the capital city of Indian state of Gujarat.

The Smart City Pre-paid Card will allow residents of the city to pay for a range of facilities such as taxes, bills, entry fee to common city areas and at retail outlets by using a single prepaid card.

Touted to be the first-of-its kind in the country, the new prepaid card will be accepted at the AMC civic centres in the city as well as at 100 other service outlets set up by the bank for municipal tax and utility bill payments.

In near future, caredholders will be able to use this card for paying for transit charges on ‘Janmarg’ or Ahmedabad BRTS as well as the Ahmedabad Municipal Transport Service for bus rides. They would also be able to use it at the ‘Pay & Park’ locations managed by AMC.
