The Housing Bank for Trade and Finance (HBTF), Jordan’s 2nd largest bank by assets, has announced it will launch four MasterCard cards, the first time HBTF and MasterCard have teamed up.

The bank has plans to open up all of its ATMs in Jordan to accept the MasterCard cards.

Omar Malhas, general manager at HBTF, said: "The Housing Bank for Trade and Finance has been offering consumers in Jordan award-winning products and services for 40 years, and we are excited to further extend our portfolio by collaborating with MasterCard.

"In addition to the benefits and privileges that MasterCard cardholders receive when using their cards, our customers now can make their everyday purchases in an easier, secure and more efficient manner wherever they are."

Basel ElTell, market manager at MasterCard, said: "We are delighted to collaborate with the renowned Housing Bank for Trade and Finance to bring consumers in Jordan safer, more convenient ways to pay for their everyday transactions.

"We are looking forward to closely working with HBTF to further develop innovative payment programs that provide exciting customer rewards and meet the evolving lifestyle needs of Jordanian consumers. With four programs to choose from, consumers can now select a tailored payment solution to suit their everyday requirements."
