US payments processor Heartland Payment
Systems has launched Mobuyle, a comprehensive mobile payments
solution allowing merchants to accept credit and debit card
payments through their smartphones and mobile devices.

Mobuyle enables merchants to accept cards via
a secure card swipe or manual entry. It features signature capture,

“Many providers are taking a one-size-fits-all
approach when it comes to mobile processing, which doesn’t serve
business owners with the optimal technology solution for their
businesses and ends up costing merchants substantially more in
processing fees,” said Steve Elefant, Heartland’s chief information
officer.

“With Mobuyle, merchants benefit from robust
business applications and can drastically reduce their mobile
processing costs.”

Mobuyle is designed for businesses looking for
off-premise processing capabilities and on-site flexibility.
Merchants download the application for free through the Android
Market and then purchase a Mobuyle Encrypting Reader which plugs
into the phone audio port.

Mobuyle is currently only serves Android
smartphones but is expected to be made available to iPhone users
later this year.
