HDFC, India’s second largest privately-owned
bank, has partnered with India-based airline Jet Airways on a
co-branded credit card.
The JetPrivilege–HDFC Bank Credit Card runs on
the MasterCard network and is being issued in three variations –
World, Platinum and Titanium.
Cardholders will earn Jet Airways JPMiles on
all purchases. The card offers 6 miles for every INR150 ($2.70)
spent, plus an additional 10,000 miles within the first 90
days.
The product is HDFC’s first airline co-brand
card. The bank its aim is to grow card-usage while making air
travel more affordable. In 2011 HDFC announced its intention to
aggressively expand its cardholder-base, and the launch follows a
number of high-profile product launches aimed at mass-affluent
sector in India.
