Google has selected US-based payments company Payoneer as payments provider for Google Trusted Stores programme.

The programme will allow customers to identify merchants they can trust online. The Trusted Stores badge is awarded to ecommerce sites that demonstrate a track record of reliability and exceptional customer service, while Google supports the merchants that have won the Trusted Store badge with a $1,000 lifetime purchase protection for shoppers.

Under the deal, Payoneer will support the programme’s customer payouts and will also offer bank transfer services that enable Google Trusted Stores to send payments to people in many countries where it currently operates.

Additionally, Payoneer will deliver purchase protection consumer payouts in select countries where Google Trusted Stores operates.

Payoneer CEO, Scott Galit, said this exciting new programme increases sales for merchants and builds confidence for consumers when making online purchases.

"Payoneer provides a seamless, automated payment process that meets Google’s high standards for technology, security and service, which is critical to the overall quality of the customer experience."
