Google has launched Google Play Gift Cards in India, which can be used to buy any kind of digital content in the Google Play Store, including apps, movies, and books.
The gift cards will be available to purchase in INR500, INR1000 and INR1,500 denominations at selected Indian stores of Vijay Sales and Spice Hotspot in Delhi NCR, Mumbai, Pune, Hyderabad, Bengaluru, Kolkata and Jaipur.
The prepaid voucher cards can be purchased through any method including cash, debit cards and credit cards.
Also, users can use the redemption code on the voucher for making payments for their items on Google Play.
This code can be used for making payments through any media (web or app) on any android device linked with the Google account.

Google India in a blog post said: "Simply ask the cashier at the register for a Google Play prepaid voucher. Pay using cash or any other form of payment accepted by the retail store and receive a redemption code that you can use to purchase digital content on Google Play."
