GoCardless, an online Direct Debit payments processor in the UK, has opted for CallValidate solution from Callcredit Information Group, to enhance its anti-money laundering checks.
With the CallValidate API, the payments processor will perform full anti-money laundering checks for each merchant signing up for the service.
For each user, CallValidate will check all data sources available for identity verification, including checks against the full electoral roll and credit account data.
The platform is claimed to ensure that only genuine merchants will be able to use the GoCardless service.
GoCardless Operations head, Grey Baker, said, "Integrating with CallValidate has been straightforward and the results returned are easy to process."
Callcredit E-Business sales manager, Sadie Guymer, added, "Integrating our CallValidate solution will provide them with further confidence that those using their payment services are genuine, without the need for lengthy paper based checks."
