American payment processor Global Payments has completed its $4.3bn merger with payment Heartland Payment Systems.
The combined entity has more than 8,500 employees globally and serves a client base of 2.5 million merchants in 29 countries.
Robert Baldwin, Jr. and Mitchell Hollin have joined the Global Payments Board in connection with the closing of the deal.
Global Payments CEO Jeffrey Sloan said: "The transformative partnership with Heartland will further accelerate revenue growth, operating margin expansion and cash earnings per share growth and create the leading provider of integrated payments technology solutions worldwide."
The deal was first announced in December 2015.
