Giesecke & Devrient (G&D) is providing MasterCard PayPass payment app for Deutsche Telekom’s digital wallet, MyWallet, allowing customers to make secure electronic payments through the ClickandBuy International’s virtual credit card system.
For secure transactions, G&D is supplying NFC-capable SkySIM CX SIM card for MyWallet.

The SIM cards, which are compatible with 2G, 3G and LTE networks, are approved by EMVCo, American Express, MasterCard and Visa. They also meet the needs of secure payment applications such as AMEX ExpressPay, MasterCard PayPass, and Visa payWave.
G&D mobile security head and management board member, Stefan Auerbach, said they have channelled all their leading technological expertise in electronic payment transactions and the SIM card market into this solution.
"With the SkySIM CX product line, Deutsche Telekom now has access to a future-proof technology platform that will enable a variety of contactless NFC services for consumers to be launched on a flexible basis in future," Auerbach added.
Telekom Deutschland marketing head, Michael Hagspihl, said, "Not only will they make it possible for anyone to make payments easily and securely, they will also be able to store everything that we currently still carry around with us in paper or plastic form, such as concert tickets, membership cards, or loyalty cards."
