FunFair enables card payments via MoonPay integration

Irish blockchain gaming operator FunFair Technologies has enabled card payments on its platform via cryptocurrency payment processor MoonPay.

The blockchain gaming platform has added fiat currency card payments as it aims to bring blockchain gaming to the masses.

In its Q2 update, the company stated that it is currently focussing on payments and marketing as the key areas to drive blockchain technology adoption.

The company noted that it aims to bring ‘Guaranteed Fair’ gaming to its ecosystem of players, operators, affiliates and game developers.

FunFair Technologies Europe CPO Fred Kessler said: “Adding card payments is a major milestone for FunFair in our mission to bring blockchain gaming to the masses.

“We’re focusing all our efforts on payments and marketing to improve the customer journey and adoption to our blockchain gaming platform.

“We’ve been looking into this for quite some time and are really glad we decided to integrate MoonPay, they’re one of the largest and fastest-growing payment services providers in the crypto space.”

MoonPay co-founder and CEO Ivan Soto-Wright added: “I think provably-fair games built on blockchain have a lot of potential to promote cryptocurrency adoption.

“Retail demand for cryptocurrencies has been growing at a remarkable rate.”

The addition of the fiat card payments option will see blockchain network fees (GAS) taken away for players.

Gamers can now play on the platform using the company’s cryptocurrency ‘FUN’.
