The government of Fujairah has formed a partnership with National Bank of Fujairah (NBF) to launch Tasdeed prepaid card as part of the initiative to introduce e-governance services in the emirate.
Tasdeed will allow residents of the UAE to make cashless payments for governmental services ranging from land rentals to the issuance of visas and trade licences.
The card will be available to customers after applying at all government of Fujairah offices with options to be activated or topped up at NBF cash deposit machines across the country.
Tasdeed will also be accepted for use in Finance Department, Emiri Court, Fujairah Municipality (main office) and Dibba Municipality (main office).
NBF CEO Vince Cook said: "Tasdeed is a breakthrough in the Fujairah government’s attempts at developing a digital infrastructure as well as a nod to the UAE’s efforts at embracing e-technology, and we look forward to playing an ongoing role in its progress."
