Fiserv, a provider of financial services technology solutions, has extended its card production capabilities to streamline the migration to EMV chip cards for clients.
As part of the expansion, Fiserv has added card milling and embedding capabilities to complete the entire EMV card production process in house.
The EMV chip card milling and embedding process includes several steps such as plastic manufacturing, embedding, testing and initialization.
Fiserv said that a card must have a cavity milled into its body to embed the EMV chip into a plastic card.
The addition of new capabilities will benefit Fiserv clients from a faster and more responsive solution for procuring chip cards that are certified by Visa, MasterCard, Discover and American Express.
