VPBank Finance Company (FE Credit) in association with MasterCard has introduced a new credit card that aims to attract first-time users in the under-penetrated credit cards sector in Vietnam.
The new offering, FE Credit Plus+ MasterCard, will be accepted across the globe.
The new card offers a number of facilities, including Selfie PLUS+ that enables customers to easily customise their credit card face with their favourite selfie and Fuel PLUS+ that allow cardholders to use their card to pay for fuel even at outlets where there is no acceptance.
Additional benefits include Education PLUS that allows cardholders to use their card for education expenses even if their educational institution does not accept cards, Bill Payment PLUS+ for recharging mobile phones and pay bills with a few clicks, and Everyday Rewards PLUS that is a loyalty programme created for entry-level users.
FE Credit CEO Kalidas Ghose said: “FE Credit, the market leader in consumer finance, aims to continuously provide customers with products and outstanding features like this PLUS+ MasterCard. MasterCard recognized FE Credit as the only non-bank financial institution for most effective card issuance in 2016."
MasterCard Indochina country manager and chief representative Arn Vogels said: “In Vietnam, where credit cards are under-penetrated, we believe that FE Credit has the ability to shape the market by reaching out to new consumer segments in a way that challenges the conventional business model."
