MasterCard’s Matthew Lanford was named the top contributor to
the European Prepaid industry for 2011-2012 at the Prepaid
Conference in London last night.
The conference organisers, Clarion, announced the names of ten
people voted the European prepaid industry’s key movers and
shakers.

In conversation with CI, Lanford said:
“I feel quite honoured but also quite humbled
by the recognition that the industry has given to me. I am very
proud to be recognised by my peers and I am very thankful for
everyone that voted for me. I’m also thankful to my team, who
have made this possible”.
Lawyer Robert Courtneidge, who recently moved to the London
office of US firm Locke Lord, and took over the Chairmanship of
PIF, was named the industry’s second most powerful figure. Visa’s
Greg Sheppard and consultant David Parker were third and
fourth.
Raphaels’s Mike Smith, Rich Wagner of Advanced Payment Solution
(APS) and Ukash head David Hunter are also on the list.
