Global distributor of electronic payment
solutions epay has partnered with Zynga, a social games developer,
to enable gamers to purchase Zynga Game Cards through epay’s cash
load network.
The Zynga Game Card allows players to purchase
virtual goods in most of the games available on the platform.
The partnership means epay’s retailers will be
able to offer consumers added value with in-store bonuses, such as
a free virtual item as well as customised marketing promotions and
online discounts.
Ryan Linton, senior director of business
development at Zynga said:
“epay will provide us with a way to leverage
their strong network of premium retailers as well as their robust
payment processing infrastructure to enable more of our
international players to purchase Zynga Game Cards in a convenient
way.”
The service will be rolled out in 18 countries
across Europe, including the UK, Italy and Sweden, opening up a
larger international market for Zynga Game Cards.
