UAE-based banking group Emirates NBD has partnered with Emirates Skywards to launch a new Visa debit card.

The Visa card is linked to saving accounts for affluent and Priority Banking clients.

The Emirates NBD Skywards Savings Account and Visa Debit Card allow customers to earn reward points on saving and spending. The Skywards Miles rewards are based on the account balance.

The earned Miles can be redeemed for flight booking with Emirates, flydubai and other partner airlines. Customers can also use the reward points for flight upgrades, hotel accommodation and shopping.

In addition, the new Emirates NBD Skywards product provides up to 50,000 bonus Skywards Miles. This also includes complimentary Emirates Skywards Silver membership and free access to more than 900 airport lounges via LoungeKey.

Emirates NBD group head of retail, banking and wealth management Suvo Sarkar said: “Spends on our debit cards continue to grow well at over 15% p.a. led by the travel sector and the new program will help customers earn higher rewards on their spends while encouraging them to save more.
