Emirates NBD has strengthened its on-going partnership with Manchester United Football Club by rolling out co-branded debit cards and a savings account.

The Emirates NBD Manchester United savings account and debit cards will initially pay an interest rate of 0.25-0.50 percent that will be based on the number of goals the football team scores.

The launch of the saving account and debit card follows release of Emirates NBD’s Manchester United credit cards in September 2013.

The co-branded debit cards linked to the savings accounts are available under two variants, Visa Platinum and Visa Signature, which allow customers to win themed prizes and experiences based on the monthly card spend.

Emirates NBD retail banking & wealth management general manager Suvo Sarkar said, "The launch of the co-branded savings account and debit cards is a huge step in cementing our partnership with one of the leading football clubs in the world."

Manchester United Group managing director Richard Arnold commented, "With nearly 1 million followers in the UAE, this is another wonderful way for our fans to engage with the Club.
