Discover has announced an agreement with
Puerto Rico-based Evertec, a payment processor that also
specialises in merchant acquiring and business management
solutions.
Evertec own and operates Puerto Rico’s debit
payments and ATM network ATH.

Financial institutions that are part of the
ATH network can now issue signature debit Discover cards.
This is the latest such deal that Discover has
signed to expand its network. Most recently, Discover announced the
issuance of its cards in Ecuador – the first time the company will
issue cards outside of its home market in the US.
