With the partnership, Digital River will process Mexican pesos and support consumer installment payment plans through its Digital River World Payments solution.

The two companies will help domestic and international businesses that have a local entity in Mexico expand their reach while growing their online sales in the region.

The service will allow merchants using the Digital River World Payments solution to access consumers in all international markets where American Express is accepted, including Brazil, Europe, Hong Kong, Mexico, North America, Singapore and others.

Digital River senior vice president and Digital River World Payments general manager Souheil Badran said: "Adding these services in Mexico will help us further expand our existing relationship with American Express and strengthen our international payments offering."
